​Hello! I'm Doug Like I said: That was then... This is now: I Retired on The 4th of July 2023. Before that, I provided custom MIS and BI Rich Solutions from 1983 to 2023 for more than twenty clients in various industries using the latest releases of WebFOCUS and associated technologies. I've enjoyed my journey and the satisfaction that my clients have with the solutions I provided to them, a well-balanced combination of their requirements and my expertise while using all the functionality provided in the full power of WebFOCUS, from TIBCO (AKA: Information Builders), and all associated technologies to ensure their success. However, all good things do come to an end, this assignment ended with a well deserved retirement. My latest contract ended on The 4th of July 2023 and I retired from this career on Friday, July 5th 2023 after completing all of their assignments. I enjoyed this high-energy problem-solving opportunity with this Amazing Team. A brief trip down Memory Lane: I've spent many days concentrating on my FOCUS / WebFOCUS career ensuring the successful design, development, and implementation of all BI Rich Applications. My career started when I was the sole Applications Developer of the Information Resource Management System (IRMS) while at Northrop / Grumman Aerospace Corporation. IRMS was developed at the request of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) in record time and significantly under budget and ended with my retirement. I attribute my success to the fact that I enjoy using WebFOCUS and associated technologies to change my clients complex data-rich / BI-poor environments into easy to understand BI Rich Applications that decision-makers used to make their day to day decisions.
