Satisfied the requirements of the Defense Contract Audit Agency's request to produce a Proof Of Concept (POC) within one year by delivering the Information Resource Management System (IRMS), a complete production-ready application which was in use by more than 10 people, in less than nine months.
- Decreased the development time by attending every course which Information Builders offered, including their Top Gun course, at IBI's corporate headquarters in New York City in order to learn the full capabilities and power of FOCUS well enough to design, develop, and present a fully functional application in fulfilment of this request for the Defense Contract Audit Agency fifteen months earlier than their request for the Proof of Concept (POC).

The Information Resource Management System (IRMS):

Tracks all information resources (hardware) in the possession of Grumman Aerospace and Grumman Data Systems using Information Builders mainframe FOCUS. This application was later plagiarized to create an application to track all software used within the company.

Includes a full user interface for complete Add, Delete, Modify, View functionality and a complete full-screen user interface with selection criteria for report generation.

Was is seamlessly accessed from the user's mainframe sign on to their sign off and displayed the main menu that provides the options to all reporting functions, access the command prompting of either CMS or FOCUS, or to exit the user's CMS session.

I simplified the set-up of the access requests for IRMS, which ran on the IBM 3090 Mainframe using VM/CMS/TSO and REXX, to such a point that all the users needed only to request an IRMS account.
